Methodology

Metamorfoze works with two methods of conservation. The content of the threatened material is transferred to another storage medium by means of microfilming and/or digitisation (conversion).
But Metamorfoze is also concerned with preservation of the originals themselves. These are treated against decay by means of deacidification, treatment of ink corrosion and copper corrosion, small repairs, acid-free wrappings and climatised storage.
