Metamorfoze finances the conservation and digitisation of archives and collections held by cultural heritage institutions. There are two financing tracks: Archives and Collections and Books, Newspapers and Magazines. Metamorfoze also finances research in the field of paper conservation.
The track Archives and Collections focuses on the conservation and digitisation of archives and collections containing unique material of national importance and subject to decay. The track Books, Newspapers and Magazines focuses on the preservation of books (and other monographs), newspapers and magazines (and other periodicals) that were either produced in the Netherlands or are in Dutch.
Submit an application
Heritage institutions in the Kingdom of the Netherlands can submit project proposals to Metamorfoze within the track Archives and Collections. Metamorfoze assesses whether the proposals meet the conditions and submits the projects for approval to an advisory committee.
